This is probably one of my favorite books on this list, this is an older book but the principles are still relevant today. This book is a bestseller for a reason. It’s recognized as one of the best self-help books in history, and it does what the title says, teaches you how to win friends & influence people while being genuine about it. This should be required reading for all entrepreneurs because relationships are so important when running your own business!

The book has several principles that Carnegie talks about, but these are some of my favorites:

  • Don’t criticize, condemn, or complain
  • Give honest and sincere appreciation
  • Arouse in the other person an eager want
  • Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves
  • Talk in terms of the other person’s interests

The language is very easy to read, the principles are simple but he has so much wisdom in this book. I can understand why it’s still relevant today and continues to help people!
