As the economy continues to improve, the business climate is shifting. Now, more than ever, CEOs and business owners are looking to outsource tasks that aren’t core to their business model. This enables them to focus on revenue-generating activities and further build on established service offerings. Between low unemployment and the growing demand for outsourcing services, there’s never been a better time for business owners and CEOs to consider outsourcing.

For better or worse, outsourcing is a part of today’s business world. What was once a tool for businesses to gain a competitive advantage against their rivals is now simply a standard practice! It’s hard to find a business these days that doesn’t have some kind of relationship with an overseas company.

Post pandemic outsourcing is a new trend where the world outsources its pandemic prevention efforts to the countries that are likely to get hit with the next global pandemic.

How does post-pandemic outsourcing work? Post pandemic outsourcing forms the cornerstone of the Hays Automation ecosystem. As the world comes together in 2020 to sound an alarm over the coronavirus, Hays’ platform could be the bridge that allows many vulnerable countries to fend off the new epidemic without having to let go of their most traditional methods of pandemic response.

Fortunately for you, I’ll be talking about my experience as an ‘ambassador’ for Hays Automation both inside and outside of the Covid-19 pandemic.

After severing all ties with my family back in March, I quickly turned to freelancing. It turned out to be the best decision I could have made, as freelancing has given me the freedom to focus entirely on what makes me the most motivated to work — your ideas.

A few months later, I was back in San Jose and on the edge of getting my first big client. My partner was in Boston and on the verge of getting Covid-19 tested. We suddenly got a call from him saying it might be best to cancel the cloud-based professional development course he was about to start.

Why will companies want to outsource in the aftermath of a crisis?

 Because companies, like most people, don’t want to go through a crisis again. And when they are faced with the possibility of a crisis, they’ll want to outsource the dirty work of managing the crisis to another company that specializes in crisis management.

Because companies know that existing companies aren’t going to survive a pandemic that hits them on all fronts, so they’re looking to outsource that work to a private company that can expand its operating capacity to deal with a significant crisis. Because companies can’t fully manage crises on their own. That’s one of the primary reasons why outsourcers are popping up to manage crises on their behalf. Even though companies deal with crises on a regular cadence, each incident presents a unique set of challenges that must be managed. 

Analysts say that more of these outsourcers can benefit the global economy than ever before given their global reach, especially as people remain concerned about the capabilities of companies once shut down. It would be easy to dismiss this response as impractical. But actually, we shouldn’t dismiss it out of hand. After all, there have been attempts to outsource any kind of work to address crises in the past. The International Labour Organization points out that outsourcing of risks is not new. The United Nations Convention against Apartheid did pass a resolution in 1985 called the Principle of Injunction, which prohibited states from undertaking “any activity that would involve the direct involvement of the state in a conflict to which it is not legitimately a party” if this involved the expropriation of black migrant persons. Sixty years later, the principle has yet to yield the intended effect but the private sector hasn’t been slow to exploit the open loopholes left by the international legal regime on the use of labor.

China didn’t sign on to the WGAU when it was promoting it, but for nearly a decade since the initiative was created, China has outsourced its environmental cleanup, construction, and garbage disposal work to dozens of foreign companies. 

What skills are no longer necessary for your staff?

If you find someone who can do the job better than you can, then why wouldn’t you want to hire them? If you don’t want to hire someone to do your job better than you can, then you’ll have to do it better than everyone else.

Take on projects that don’t stretch your skillset.

You’re always going to be a little wary of hiring someone because your experience or reputation might be on the line. That’s why it’s usually not a bad idea to test the waters first with small things, like whether you could do the job better than they could.

If you find someone who can do the job better than you can, why wouldn’t you want to hire them? If you don’t want to hire someone to do your job better than you can, then you’ll have to do it better than everyone else.

If you’re good at your job, don’t get any better. If you are mistake an expert, overlearn faster than everyone else will catch up. Finding your learning capital will make you immune to those allergic gigs.

Make promotion your top priority.

You don’t need a secret entrance into the best employers. If you stick to your values and hustle constantly, your managers will promote you no matter what. They’ll even transfer you from one company to another if you seem valuable.

If you don’t take on those extra projects that often that will drag on too long, you won’t get the promotion your manager thinks is worth giving you.

How can you preserve your company’s identity in a post-crisis world?

It’s important to be active on social media in order to build your brand. Social media is a great way to interact with your followers and customers and to build trust. By being active on social media, you can interact with them and engage them in conversations about your products and services. Twitter in particular is crucial for your career if you work in tech. Here are some simple ideas to actively use Twitter to build your brand. You can use Twitter in quite a few different ways. You can use it to tweet about your industry rank, data, or content. If you are using Twitter to tweet about your latest news, keep it brief. This improves your engagement rate. Twitter’s algorithm prioritizes new, useful content over previous tweets, and tweets that are 2, 3, or more minutes old will not appear on your profile.

If you needed to send your first tweet, you can use the compose tool to make a quick tweet. First, you’ll need to fill in some basic information such as your username, what type of content you plan on sharing, and the headline of the story you’re sharing. Next, you’ll have to choose a suitable tweet.
