A natural fit

Steve Sopinski has a proven track record of success creating effective marketing strategies. Prior to founding MySource, Steve had always worked in different capacities doing sales and marketing, especially in the commercial insurance industry, giving him an experienced and broad perspective on marketing.

As he discussed the founding of MySource he described his role as a “natural fit”. He has the uncanny ability to develop relationships, network, and thus get the MySource name and brand out into the world, making him the undisputed expert in marketing strategies that drive results. As he humbly puts it, “that’s what I like to do, I like to talk to people, I like to try and create new relationships”.

So, it should come as no surprise that the initial idea for MySource Solutions came about through a conversation that Steve was having with a friend, a successful business owner, who mentioned how he had outsourced some of his employees, including his CFO [Chief Financial Officer], out of the Philippines. This was his introduction to the BPO industry.

It was from that point that one conversation just led to another, which led to another, and eventually, all the founders came together, and MySource Solutions was born.

As a small (but growing!), company, all of the founder’s wear “multiple hats”, according to Steve. However, it is no question that Steve is the correct fit for Chief Marketing Officer. He oversees many things in that regard including strategizing, branding, and communications. His leadership and vision have helped MySource establish a presence in the BPO industry, and enable the company to differentiate itself from competitors and attract new business.

In his own words, he sees MySource as taking a more “hands-on, team-based, approach” that differentiates them from others in the BPO industry. MySource is more than just a business to Steve. It is his passion. He is always ready and excited to talk about who MySource is and what they have accomplished in just five years. In our conversation, he said, “outside of family, which of course comes first, MySource is my everything”.

Steve’s vision for MySource’s future cannot really be measured in numbers. Of course, he would be ecstatic to see MySource become a leader in the BPO industry, but that really isn’t his main goal. What Steve truly wishes for MySource is that the company, as a whole, leaves all the people whose lives, businesses, and careers it touches, happy and satisfied. This includes employees just as much as customers. Steve’s philosophy: Happy and successful employees lead to happy and successful customers which in turn, leads to a flourishing business.

Steve Sopinski, the Chief Marketing Officer at MySource Solutions, went into the BPO [Business Process Outsourcing] industry with over 20 years of experience in Sales and Risk Management. When Steve, Daryl, and Jon founded MySource together in December of 2017, he was eager to start both a New Year and a new chapter in his career, as an entrepreneur.
